The Absence

The absence of sound is crushing -
a ferocious gale of louring silence,
it deafens; or that's how it feels -
ears become useless as eyes take control:

The absence of darkness and light -
a sightless vortex of nothing,
as far as the eyes can see, in blindness -
eyes become useless as mind takes control:

The absence of thought is a sin -
a crime in the midst of the mind,
impulses strike out at nothing -
mind becomes useless as heart takes control.

Vaishnava Absence can be distracting, it can be liberating, but it need not be meancholy..The visionary focuses his eyes on The Cosmos and is not bound to ephemeral phenomena..Dennis (Penseur)
